Which numbers are supported?
US and Canadian numbers. Other countries are answered free with unsupported_country.
How fresh is the data?
Lookups ask the portability database live; a number's answer is reused for up to 7 days, and every response says when it was fetched. Pass bypass_cache for a fresh answer.
Why would I need this?
SMS routing, fraud checks (a number recently ported to VoIP is a common fraud signal) and keeping CRM data current.
