Do you send an email to check the address?
No. We connect to the recipient's mail server and ask whether it would accept the address, then disconnect before any message is sent.
What does a catch-all domain mean?
The domain accepts mail for any address, so the mailbox can't be confirmed. We mark these for review instead of guessing.
Am I charged for invalid input?
No. Addresses with invalid syntax are answered free, and checking the same address again from your account within 7 days is free.
